Our Story

Three friends, all Aggies (Class of 2000), were enjoying their lives, they had no complaints but it always seemed like something was missing.  These 3 Ags periodically talked about one day getting a bus to tailgate at the A&M games, but like all their other ideas this seemed to be just another dream until one night everything changed.  The 3 Ags were hanging out one Friday night in late fall of 2004 talking college football as usual when the topic of the tailgating bus was brought up again.  For some reason the discussion was a little more serious than usual when one of the Ags made am ultimatum and said “If we don’t get a bus by the end of the year you can count me out.”  That seemed to be all the motivation the Ags needed and by the end of the next week they had surfed the web and visited some of the local used bus lots.  Then one day, what seemed to be fate, a web search returned a 1990 Thomas Built International School Bus located in Houston.  They went checked it out and it was a deal they couldn’t pass up.  They were now proud owners of a yellow school bus.  With only 7 months to Aggieize the bus the 3 Ags had to get to work.  The customization included: removing 18 bunks, scrapping off thousands of stickers, painting the inside and outside and installing a VIP lounge.  They managed to complete the conversion and the “Spirit” was born ready for the inaugural tailgating season of 2005.
